Road safety for kids

Teach your child the principles of road safety at an early age.

1. Never let your very young child walk alone on the street
2. Hold hands, especially when crossing the road at intersections and driveways
3. Teach your child the rules of the road at an early age, make them a habit
4. Lead by example
5. Make sure that your child is always noticeable - dress him in colours that are visible
6. Cross at corners, marked pedestrian crossings or at traffic lights
7. Walk, don’t run, and steer clear of the curb and oncoming traffic.
